What we store

When you register, we store your name, email address, and a cryptographically hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text. New accounts are reviewed and approved by the administrator before they can be used.

When you are signed in, manuscripts and drafts you choose to save are stored privately in your account so you can continue on another computer. Unsaved drafting happens only in your browser and is not sent to the website.

Cookies

We set a single session cookie (galley_session) that keeps you logged in. It contains no personal data beyond an opaque session identifier and is removed when you log out. The site runs no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party trackers.

Sharing

Your account details and manuscripts are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties. Nothing you upload is published by the service; your documents stay private to your account.

Retention and deletion

Account records and saved manuscripts are kept until you ask us to remove them. Contact us and we will delete your account and its stored documents.
